Creating an Integrated Youth Support Facility in Red Deer
The Sheldon Kennedy Centre of Excellence required a purpose-built facility that could bring together multiple organizations in a single, collaborative environment. Located on the Red Deer Polytechnic campus, the project needed to support an evidence-based model focused on integration, while providing accessible spaces for therapy, services, and community engagement.

A Collaborative Space Supporting Youth and Community
the result
The completed three-storey facility includes over 40 therapy and clinician offices, supporting essential services for youth across Central Alberta. Precast concrete contributes to a durable and efficient structure, while vibrant exterior elements and thoughtful design unify a range of non-profit partners and campus connections. A third-floor covered patio provides a four-season space for events and gatherings, creating a multi-purpose environment that brings together treatment, community services, and collaboration.
